great access to parks and historical landmarks nearby
I stayed here for four nights and loved that I could easily walk to Usk Castle in just about 10 minutes while enjoying the beautiful scenery along the way. The friendly staff made my mornings brighter, especially when I enjoyed my tea from the room's kettle in bed after a comfy night's sleep.

Compact characterful pub atmosphere filled with friendly locals. Solid selection of bar food and tasty breakfast featuring a full English with plenty of options.
Rooms overlooking the main road present noise issues. single glazed windows let in early morning traffic and nearby deliveries. Size of rooms can feel cramped for some, particularly those expecting more spacious accommodations.

I had a delightful stay at The Crosskeys. The staff welcomed me warmly and were genuinely helpful throughout my visit. My Double Room was cozy, with a comfy bed that made it easy to catch up on sleep. It had wonderful tea-making facilities, perfect for a morning cuppa in bed. I loved the open fireplace in the common area. it created such a warm ambiance. Breakfast was freshly cooked, and I especially enjoyed the black pudding, a real treat! The location was ideal, just a short walk from the lovely river. my room faced the main road, which meant inconsistent traffic noise early in the morning. It might be challenging for light sleepers. that, I had a great stay. I could see myself returning for another visit.

comfortable stay but minor hiccups
The bed provided exceptional comfort, making it easy to drift off to sleep. I particularly enjoyed the hot shower and appreciated the heated radiator that made coming in from the cold much more pleasant.
There were a few minor details that could be improved.
